Third Anglo Ashanti War - journalists embedded with the British Army in West Africa. 'Times; Illustrated London News; New York Herald; Standard...Our Artist, while sojourning at Prah-su, found convenient accommodation in a hut, shared with him by Mr. Henry Stanley ['finder' of David Livingstone], of the New York Herald, and Mr. Henty, of the Standard. He has acknowledged their friendly aid in more than one letter, and his sketch of "the newspaper correspondents' quarters" will serve as a token of remembrance'.
