Frederick Goodall, painter, 1878. Goodall was only 14 years old when he exhibited water-colour paintings of Willesden Church and Lambeth Palace at the Society of Arts, the latter picture was awarded the Isis medal of the society. Among his best-known works are, 'The Tired Soldier', 'The Village Holiday' and 'The Ploughman and the Shepherdess'.
