The Battle of Bunker Hill and the burning of Charlestown, America, on 17 June 1775, (c1775?). More than 18,000 American troops surrounding Boston were driven back by British forces supported by naval gunfire, with great losses on both sides, while the settlement of Charlestown was destroyed by shells fired from Boston.
