Colonel Thomas Blood, Who stole the Crown from the Tower of London, 1813. Blood (c1618-1680) was an Irish adventurer. He first plotted to seize Dublin Castle, then after that plot was discovered, he broke into the Tower of London in 1671, with three accomplices and they stole the crown and orb. He was captured but later pardoned by Charles II.
