Charlotte Corday, 1804. Corday (1768- 1793) was a supporter of the monarchy when the French Revolution began in 1789, and hated Marat and Robespierre who were very much against the monarchy. She devised a plan to gain access to Marat, and on the 13th July 1793, stabbed him through the heart while he was in his bath. She was immediately apprehended, and executed on 17th July 1793.
