Four miniatures, c1295-c1310. At top right a female saint emerges from the body of a dragon as the hand of God makes a sign of blessing above her. Margaret the Virgin was supposedly swallowed by Satan in the shape of a dragon. She escaped alive when the cross she carried irritated the dragon's innards. Psalter and Horae.
