Oinochoe, 1st-2nd century A.D. Additional Info: This mold-blown oinochoe is made of purple glass. The seam mark indicates that this oinochoe was blown in a two-part mold. Its spherical ribbed body rests on a flat base. The cylindrical neck ends with a flaring mouth and lip folded inwards. An opaque white handle with an elbow has been applied on the shoulder and drawn up to the lip. The surface presents some iridescence on the inside as well as dark accretions and discoloration.
