The War in Schleswig: Prussian ammunition-train entering Flensburg - from a sketch by our special artist, 1864. '...the Prussians...have brought up heavy siege-guns and trains of ammunition, which day after day encumber the one street of Flensburg, or stand, waiting for the means of transport, in its squares and marketplaces. As there is no railway beyond Flensburg, while the Schleswig Railway, as far that terminus, is in full operation from the south, it may be imagined that the result is a great accumulation or congestion of military stores, both Austrian and Prussian, so that the little town is quite choked up. In our Artist's Sketch we see an ammunition-waggon, with escort, just entering the gates'. From "Illustrated London News", 1864.
