Marriage festivities at Quiddenham Park, Norfolk, the seat of the Earl of Albemarle, 1864. 'Quiddenham...was the scene of glad festivities on Wednesday week, upon the occasion of the marriage of Lady Louisa Keppel, the Earl's daughter, to the Hon. Frederick William Charteris, Commander, R.N...About four o'clock the happy couple left the hall in a carriage and four. They were greeted with the hearty acclamations of a large number of persons assembled in the park...Flags were flying from the roof of the mansion, and at each evergreen arch...In the carriage drive from the hall to the church there were two triumphal arches of evergreens. On the arch nearest to the hall there were two mottoes - on one side, "God bless the Union," surmounted by the monogram, "A. W.," and on the other side "Long Life and Happiness," with the reversed monogram, "W. A."' From "Illustrated London News", 1864.
