Double-skirted taffety dress; the under skirt is plain, and the upper one largely rounded off at the lower corners and trimmed with a fluted edging graduating upwards to the waist...The corsage consists of a Zouave casaque ...Small Parisian collar; silk cravat, the ends of which are ornamented by a trimming of lace. 2. Evening Costume. Moire antique robe, upon the skirt of which is attached...a wide band of velvet...trimmed...with a narrow lace, the whole forming a very graceful sort of flounce. The high-necked corsage, a la Suisse, is covered halfway with passementerie and guipure. Pagoda sleeves, trimmed with lace and velvet...Parisian collar. Twisted head-dress...3. Dress for Opera or Ball. Light pink silk dress, with three very high flounces. The cloak is of white cashmere edged with black velvet; the folds are held in at the shoulders by a band, a la Grecque, embroidered with gold and also edged with black velvet. A yellow silk tassel descends from the lowest point of each of the shoulder ornaments. Carved mother-of-pearl fan...The head-dress consists of a round garland of roses'.
