Légende

The Prince's Levee at Bombay: Receiving the Maharana of Oudeypore, 1876. The future King Edward VII greets an Indian ruler. '...the Maharana of Oudeypore [was] remarkable, among so many rich costumes, for plainness of attire; all was white cotton, a gold belt hung over his left shoulder, by which, Rajpoot-like, his shield was suspended, and thus, with his tulwar in hand, he met his future Emperor. This Maharana of Oudeypore, or Meywar, whose name is Dheraj Sumbhoo Singh, is the greatest of the Rajpoot Princes...'. From "Illustrated London News", 1876.
