Appraisal of Property, Appraisal of slaves from the estate of Samuel Turner, listing names of slaves and their values, 1772-12-21. 'At the Request of Hezekiah Turner, John Thomas Chunn, John Ashby Jun., George Adams, Zachariah Chunn, Henry Clarkson, and Zephaniah Turner in behalf of himself and John Beale Turner a minor, we the subscribers have valued and appraised Negroe Sam, Negroe Frank and Negroe Rachel, in Sterling Money as follows to with: Negroe Sam valued at £55.0.0, Negroe Frank valued at £45.0.0, and Negroe Rachel £50.0.0. The said three Negroes being part of the estate of Samuel Turner deceased, and the use of them left to Mrs. Mary Turner lately deceas'd during her life. Witness our hands the date abovesaid [illegible]'.
