Will and testament of Daniel Juzan, 1825. Continuation of legal document: '...Louise Solidel and John [?] Juzan all my personal and real property, with the exception of aforesaid, and their heirs, and assigns forever as tenants in common that is to say share and share alike in equal portions. I give and bequeath unto Delphine, Dalcour, Carmine, Mamelitte [?], and Meronne children of colour which I have had by Justine a free woman of colour who, now, lives with me, the sum of one thousand dollars, nine hundred whereof, it is my will and desire, should be raised, as soon after my death as can be conveniently done, from the sale of my cattle, and the remaining one hundred dollars I desire to be raised from the sale of any lands I may die possessed of, And I, hereby, give to my executor hereinafter named, full, and ample power to sell so much of any of my lands as may be necessary to raise that sum...'.
