Head-Quarters of Lord Raglan, near Balaclava - from a sketch by Lieutenant Montagu O'Reilly, 1854. Crimean War. View of '...the Head-quarters of Lord Raglan, not far from Balaclava. The house is a long building, of the villa and farm-house description, partly covered with vines, which are very luxuriant in the Crimea. Tents are pitched in the adjoining grounds; and on the right of the picture is stationed the British flag'. Raglan was Master-General of the Ordnance, in command of British troops in the Crimea.
