Procession of the Fat Ox from a Teniers Series, Brussels, c. 1725. Villagers prepare to butcher an ox for Shrove Tuesday, while others skate on a frozen canal. Musicians play outside the Sign of the Cross tavern. Woven at the workshop of Daniel IV Leyniers, after a design by Jan van Orley.
