A man looking out over Coryton Calor Gas Filling Station from a high vantage point, towards the battery of storage tanks at the site. Laing Civil Engineering carried out the civil engineering foundations for the Calor Filling Station at Coryton, located to the north-east of Coryton Oil Refinery. H. J. Cash were the main contractors for the electrical and mechanical work. The site was to form the new Eastern Region Headquarters for the Operating and Sales Division of the Calor Gas (Holding) Company.
