Stopwatch, Douglas World Cruiser, 1924. Silver stopwatch used by Gen. Leigh Wade on the 1924 flight of the Douglas World Cruiser. Each member of the World Flight (first flight around the world), carried a stuffed monkey as a mascot. Wade's monkey, named "Maggie", carried carried this stopwatch in a black velvet pouch around its neck.
