A view of the construction site of Coventry Cathedral, showing a close up of the erection of shutters and concreting of walls in the boiler house section of the new cathedral with men working on the site. Construction of the new cathedral took place between the mid-1950s and 1962 with the foundation laying ceremony being carried out by Queen Elizabeth II on 23 March 1956.
