Brief details of this staff outing appear in the June 1953 edition of Laing's monthly newsletter; Team Spirit. The London staff involved in the outing came from Head Office, the Plant and Transport Depot, London contracts and Coryton. The newsletter states that they travelled on three special trains on which breakfast and dinner was served.
