Brown fox fur stole designed by Lustick Furriers. The stole is lined in black synthetic twill fabric with small floral sprays embroidered in cream. A pocket is sewn from the lining fabric at the exterior side of both ends of the stole. A black fabric designer label with gold embroidered text is sewn at the interior center back that reads "Lustick / FURRIERS / WASHINGTON" with a logo at the upper left corner of an "L" inside a wreath. Mae Reeves (1912-2016) was a pioneering African-American milliner who was famous for her custom-made hats. Her business, Mae's Millinery Shop in downtown Philadelphia, was one of the first shops in the city to be owned by a woman of African American heritage.
