Légende

The Royal Yacht passing the Drachenfels, 1845. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert travel down the River Rhine during a royal visit to Germany. 'The group of hills called the Seven Mountains, in reality, are more than seven in number, and form a grand commencement to the beautiful scenery of the Rhine; they are the highest and wildest hills on its banks...'. The Drachenfels - Dragon's Rock - was formed by rising magma that could not break through to the surface, and then cooled and became solid underneath. On the summit is a ruined castle.
