Plaque: The Virgin and Child with Angels, c. 1320-1330. This plaque once formed the center of an ivory triptych, a devotional object consisting of three panels hinged together. While two standing angels with candlesticks flank the enthroned Virgin on either side, a third angel descends from above to crown the Virgin as Queen of Heaven.
