Shop in the House of Fabergé, St Petersburg, Russia, 1910. The House of Fabergé is a jewellery firm founded in St Petersburg in 1842 by Carl Faberge. Amongst the jewellery items produced by the firm were elaborate Easter eggs made each year from 1883 onwards for the Tsar to give as a present to the Tsarina and, in Nicholas II's case, to his mother, the Dowager Empress. From a private collection.
