Eads Bridge and skyline of St Louis, Missouri, USA, 1940. Vintage linen postcard showing a view across the Mississippi River of the St Louis skyline taken from under the Eads Bridge. Designed by James B Eads, the bridge crosses the Mississippi between St Louis and East St Louis, Illinois. When completed in 1874, it was the longest arch bridge in the world.
