Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, 1926. Vintage postcard showing a bird's eye view of Rittenhouse Square looking north over the city. The landscaped square is visible at the bottom of the image. Rittenhouse Square was one of five parks planned by Wiliam Penn for the city of Philadelphia in the late 17th century. As the city grew in the 19th century property around the square became highly desirable.
