Légende

The Temple of Zeus at Olympia, Greece. The Temple of Zeus was a Doric peripteral building with 6x13 columns built between 470 and 456 BC. It was the work of Libon, an architect from Elis. The largest temple in the Peloponnese, it was considered the perfect expression of the Doric temple. Today, only column bases and tumbled sections remain. Olympia, a sanctuary of ancient Greece, is probably best known for having been the site of the Olympic Games in classical times.
