Légende

The Temple of Apollo at Corinth, Greece. The Doric Temple of Apollo was built between 550-540 BC to replace an even earlier temple on the same spot. It is a precious example of Archaic Greek architecture. It had six columns in its facades (hexastyle) and fifteen on the long sides. Only seven of the original thirty-eight columns remain to date. The Roman colonists restored the temple for their use. Its use in the Roman period is not known. The Corinthian Akropolis can be seen in the background.
