In 1954, threstrictions on the sale of meat and bacon were lifted and this butcher certainly looks pleased about it. Photographed at one of the Barnsley branches of the Co-op, the butcher is seen with his assistant. Posters can be seen in the window anouncing that meat and bacon were available to all customers.
