'York Stairs and the Water Tower', (1881). 18th-century view of York Watergate, Buckingham Street, Westminster, London. Built in 1626 by Nicholas Stone (1586-1647), the watergate gave access to the River Thames from York House, a mansion on the Strand. Westminster Bridge can be seen in the distance.
