Légende

'Gatehouse, Kirkless Priory', c1910, (1912). Kirklees Hall, Calderdale, West Yorkshire, is a 16th-century Grade I listed Jacobean hall. In the 12th century, the Cistercians built Kirklees Priory. It is connected to the legend of Robin Hood, and is said to be his final resting place. The folklore states that Robin Hood was the nephew of the prioress, who sheltered him when he was fleeing from the Sheriff of Nottingham. From Bibby's Annual 1912, [ J. Bibby & Sons, Liverpool, 1912]
