Légende

'On the left is the Master's House: the tombstone in the foreground commemorates Oliver Goldsmith', 1941. On May 10th, 1941, a German air raid set the roof of the Round Church on fire. The fire quickly spread to the nave and chapel. The organ and all the wood parts of the church, including the Victorian renovations were destroyed. From The Connoisseur, 1941 edited by H.
