'Adoration of the Child' c1480. After the Master of the St Bartholomew Altarpiece. To date the identity of the Master of the St Bartholomew Altarpiece remains a mystery. It is assumed that he came from the Netherlands and was active between 1475 and 1510 and that he belonged to the Cologne School. From The Connoisseur VOL. XVII, 1907.
