Gloria Dickson, American stage and screen actress, 1938. Gloria Dickson's film debut in 'They Won't Forget' (1937) earned her the reputation of one of Hollywood's up and coming stars. She appeared in a total of 23 films but her career was cut short be her death in a fire at her home, caused by an unextinguished cigarette.
