A neighbour meets Adolf Hitler, Obersalzberg, Germany, 1936. Hitler (1889-1945) shaking hands with one of his neighbours at the Berghof, the Nazi leader's mountain retreat above Berchtesgaden. In reality, by 1936 all the local residents had been bought out or evicted from their homes and the area was surrounded by a security cordon to protect Hitler, his staff and other senior Nazis from contact with the public.
