Elissa Landi, Italian born actress, 1933. Landi (1904-1948) was a popular star of Hollywood films of the 1920s and 1930s. Born Elisabeth Marie Christine Kuhnelt, and rumoured to be a descendant of Emperor Franz Josef of Austria, she was noted for her aristocratic bearing.
