Letter from Edward Gibson to his aunt, Hester Gibson, 30th June 1788. Letter written from Sheffield Place in Sussex, on Gibson's intended return to Lausanne, and re-assuring her as to his religious opinions, with mention of his maternal uncle Sir Stanier Porten and Lord and Lady Eliot, the latter of whom was his first-cousin. From the second series of Facsimiles of royal, historical, literary and other autographs in the Department of Manuscripts, British Museum: Series I-V. (London, 1899).
