Sacred bo-tree at Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka, planted here from a shoot brought from the bo-tree under which Buddha found enlightenment. It has been guarded ever since and thus is the oldest historically recorded tree still alive. Note the brightly coloured prayer-flags.
