Dish with red imperial dragon, Qianlong period, Qing dynasty, China, 1736-1795. A dish with a rouge de fer red imperial five-clawed dragon against a background of underglaze blue waves in a central medallion. The reverse has nine rouge de fer imperial dragons in various positions against an underglazed blue background of stylised waves under a narrow border of half floral decoration. There is a Qianlong mark on the base and the piece is of the period.
