Punch'ong celadon bowl with stamped decoration, Choson dynasty, Korea, 15th century. A Punch'ong celadon bowl of conical form with wide mouth and small foot. The bowl is decorated in the interior and exterior with stamped rope curtain, or so-called 'fish-roe' decoration, and washed with white slip pooling in the stamped decoration (inhwa punch'ong). The rim has a narrow band of stylized leaf inlay (sanggam). The centre of the interior has a floral medallion surrounded by bands of floral and formal gadroon-like decoration, all under a grey-green celadon glaze.
