Légende

Jade reticulated plaque of Daoist paradise, late Ming or early Qing dynasty, China, 17th century. A reticulated roughly rectangular plaque of a Daoist paradise showing Xi Wangmu (Queen Mother of the West) seated under a pine tree with a crane and incense burner by her side. On the other side of the pine tree is a tortoise belching clouds on which a pagoda floats. A fairy riding a cloud vehicle is in the sky above and to one side. The whole scene is set against a backdrop of perforated rocks.
