Légende

Jade group of two whitish dog-like animals with lingzhi and acanthus sprays, Ming dynasty, China, probably 16th century. Two dog-like animals positioned beside each other head to tail. The animals are holding a spray of lingzhi fungus and acanthus between them. The heads and spiralled cornucopeia ears are well-carved and their eyebrows are pronounced. The jade is of white colour with 'mare's hair' black and brown suffusions.
