Jade 'cha wei' reticulated plaque with two dragons pursuing flaming pearl amid foliage, Ming dynasty, China, 1368-1644. A rectangular jade 'cha wei' plaque pierced behind for affixing to a belt. One end has rounded corners, as is normal for the chawei. The jade colour is greyish mottled white and is carved with two sinuous dragons pursuing a flaming pearl.
