Légende

Ordos bronze plaque of stag and doe copulating, Eastern Zhou dynasty, China, 5th-4th century BC. An openwork plaque from the Ordos region, south-western Inner Mongolia, of a stag with stylised antlers mounting a standing doe, with ring for attachment at the back. Such subjects were popular with the Mongolian pastoral tribes, to whom the increase of wildlife was of immense economic importance.
