Walmer Castle and Gardens, Kent, c2000s(?). A view of the castle from the Broadwalk with visitors seated on chairs. Walmer Castle was one of the coastal Device Forts built by Henry VIII. It became the official residence of the Warden of the Cinque Ports, a position held by the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother from 1978 until her death in 2002.
