Fidenza, Duomo (Cattedrale di San Donnino), facciata, portale maggiore, protiro: il capitello di sinistra con “Storie di Maria Vergine”.
La Madonna è raffigurata nella parte frontale del capitello sotto un edificio sostenuto da due colonne, a figura intera, incinta, ha la rosa in mano; sull’archetto vi è l’iscrizione SCA. MA RIA (Sancta Maria = Santa Maria); a destra, Elisabetta è seduta su uno sgabello con un panno in mano; sull’archetto soprastante vi è l’iscrizione ELIZA.BET (Elisabeth = Elisabetta).
A destra Anna, madre di Maria, tiene la mano destra sulla spalla della figlia bambina, che ha una rosa in mano, a destra é un uomo in abiti sacerdotali sull’archetto si legge: VIRGINES (Virgines = Vergine) – MAGI ST[ER].T[E]NPL[I] (Magister Templi = Maestro del tempio).

Fidenza, Duomo (Cathedral of San Donnino), facade, main portal, prothyrum: the left capital with “Stories of the Virgin Mary”. The Madonna is depicted on the front of the capital under a building supported by two columns, full-figure, pregnant, with a rose in her hand; on the arch is the inscription SCA. MA RIA (Sancta Maria = Holy Mary); on the right, Elizabeth is seated on a stool with a cloth in her hand; on the arch above is the inscription ELIZA.BET (Elisabeth = Elizabeth).
On the right, Anna, mother of Mary, holds her right hand on the shoulder of her little daughter, who has a rose in her hand. On the right is a man in priestly robes. On the arch we read: VIRGINES (Virgines = Virgin) – MAGI ST[ER].T[E]NPL[I] (Magister Templi = Master of the Temple).
