Heinz Barth

Second lieutenant of the SS Heinz Barth (l) and two unidentified fellow soldiers during World War II. Barth was accused of participating in the massacre at the French village of Oradour-sur-Glane in 1944 and also for additional war crimes in Czechoslovakia. Barth disappeared after 1945 but was discovered and arrested in the German Democratic Republic in the fall of 1981.
