The mascot of the GDR petrol station network, the "Minol-Pirol", can be seen on individual scenes from the animated films by animation film director Peter Blümel, which were broadcast on GDR television from 1960 to 1979 for the advertising television programme "Tausend Tele Tips" (TTT). The photos belong to the collection of the studied economist and long-time employee of Minol, Olaf Wagner. 60 years ago the Minol-Pirol flickered across the screen for the first time on GDR television as an advertising figure for the petrol station network.
