President de Gaulle is in Washington for a State visit to focus on talks with United States President Dwight D. Eisenhower in anticipation of the upcoming Big Four summit in May in Paris. It will be the first such meeting of leaders from the US, Great Britain, France, and the Soviet Union since World War II.
