(dpa) - Former Iranian empress Farah Diba-Pahlavi smiles for the cameras during a meeting with the press to promote her new book 'An Enduring Love: My Life with the Shah: A Memoir' at the luxury hotel Adlon in Berlin, Germany, 21 April 2004. The book not only depicts the splendour of the former monarchy but also the political stages in her life. Farah Diba's fairy tale wedding with the Shah of Persia in 1959 attracted worldwide attention. In 1967 she was crowned as the first Iranian empress but had to flee the country with her husband during the Islamic revolution in 1979.
