Olympics shocked: terrorist act with two dead people, and 111 injured

Olympic Games 1972 in Munich: The archive picture shows the burned helicopter of the Federal Border Police. Several hostages, taken by Palestinian terrorists, died in this helicopter in the night of 6 September 1972. Members of the group 'Black September' had attacked the accommodation of the Israeli team in the Olympic village and took hostage of the members of the Israeli Olympic team. The Summer Games are now affected by an attack for the second time after the events of Munich. In the early morning of 27 July 1996, a bomb exploded at 'Centennial Park' in Atlanta. Two people were killed, 111 injured.
